First Aid at Work Training

Course Aim:

​

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981

Where an employer provides first-aiders in the workplace, they should ensure they have undertaken suitable training, have an appropriate first-aid qualification and remain competent to perform their role.

​

This course is designed for anyone who might need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work, and covers a wide range of injuries and illnesses aimed more at high risk workplaces.

Course Content:

​

  • Role and responsibilities of a first aider

  • Assessing an incident 

  • Unresponsive casualty

    • CPR & AED

  • Choking

  • External bleeding

  • Shock

  • Minor injuries

  • Conduct a secondary survey 

  • Bones, muscles and joints

  • Head and spinal injuries

  • Chest injuries

  • Burns and scalds

  • Eye injuries

  • Sudden poisoning

  • Anaphylaxis

  • Heat & cold injuries

  • Suspected major illness​es

    • Heart Attack

    • Stroke

    • Epileptic seizure

    • Asthma attack

    • Diabetic emergency

Our first aid at work training course is conducted at your premises.

Between four and 12 delegates

3 days consisting of 6 hours each (not including breaks)
