Both FAW and EFAW certificates last for

First Aid Qualification
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Although your certificate lasts for three years it is your responsibility to ensure you keep update with any changes in the first aid world. There are many website offering advice however the main source of change will come from the Resuscitation Council.

Also ensure you revisit your training documentation such as booklets to ensure you keep your knowledge fresh at all times. Nothing worst than a first aider who has forgotten how to care for some one.
EFAW - Emergency First Aid at Work Requalification
To renew your EFAW qualification you will need to simply resit the one day emergency first aid at work training course, there is no requalification course in existence for this.

If your EFAW qualification goes out of date you can no longer be a first aider until you renew it.
FAW - First Aid at Work Two Day Requalification
To renew your FAW qualification you will need to sit a two day first aid at work requalification training course before your current certificate runs out.

If your FAW qualification goes out of date you have 30 days to resit the requalification course, after that you will need to resit the entire three days again. During that time you cannot administer first aid.
